I didn't think I had a pop culture artifact that I considered sacrosanct, but my first reaction upon learning of this was HOW DARE YOU.

Terrible adaptations of Peanuts is nothing new. In between the now classic specials (A Charlie Brown Christmas, It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving) there were seven other shorts which have been almost entirely forgotten.

Mendelson/Meléndez produced around 31 Peanuts programs between 1965 and 1994 and it's hard to decide what is the worst. Some might say It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown, but I think it's a toss up between the boring and peculiar It's The Girl in The Red Truck Charlie Brown and the utterly disturbing Why, Charlie Brown, Why?.

Yet I can't help but feel that having them turned into soft, round, airbrushed 3-D computer figures seems like, well, the worst thing since this:

BONUS: If you watch the first 20 seconds of the above trailer with the sound off, it looks an awful lot like Snoopy was giving Charlie Brown a blowjob but stopped too soon, much to his dismay.
