My aunt still sends me email forwards. She's unique though in that she is the only person I've ever known who, when she sends a forward that's like "this email is for True Friends that you Love, forward it to seven True Friends plus the one who sent it to you" and does not get it sent back to her, gets upset because she thinks that means the person she sent it to doesn't actually Love her. Even back in the day when such forwards were popular, I never knew anyone whose social self-esteem was based on getting them back.
